New Updates:
ULL Opening Day 27th June - See News Section
A Guide to Ultrashort Lasers (1.4MB,
pdf)
The ULL has been established through SRIF2 funding along with the Centre
for Advanced Microscopy (CfAM) and the Wolfson
NanoScience Laboratory (through Royal Society/Wolfson Foundation funding).
The ULL will contain high
intensity, ultra-fast laser sources to enable a wide range of projects from
fundamental quantum science and metrology to medical imaging, environmental
remote sensing and materials testing. The spectral range available will
ultimately cover the electromagnetic spectrum from TeraHertz to Vacuum
Ultraviolet.
This website is designed to enable you to find out about the facilities we
have available, how to gain access and to provide you with news and updates on
ULL-based research and activities.
